When I googled NRAS this morning to get on to the website, I noticed that a new entry comes up "NRAS Forum", which hasn't come up before. I thought this might be a quicker way to get into the forum but when I tried it, it takes you to the 'old' forum back to December 09 which is now completely locked. Is there any way you can stop this appearing NRAS? I would imagine it would not be helpful for anyone specifically looking for an RA forum to see that it's not active. They might not find their way to the 'new' forum.

google is a bit of a law unto itself unless you pay them to tweak your search results.
cheapest, simplest thing to do is to pop a link to new forum clearly onto front page of old forum.
until old forum retired, but that will probably be ina good while. is still a great resource if used.
